All Change in the Government's Musical Chair Game

The following candidates have been elected to chair select committees in the new Parliament. There are literally hundreds but the ones that mostly effect the festival world are: Culture, Media & Sport: John Whittingdale; Children, School & Families (Education): Graham Stuart; Home Affairs: Keith Vaz.
I will of course be in touch with all these people and let them know we exist so that we can be kept informed of their activities that might affect us. If you feel inclined, talk to your own MP, which of course might be a new face and keep them informed as to who you are and what you do. You can find out who your local MP is at www.theyworkforyou.com/mp. I strongly recommend it; you never know when you might need their signature on a bit of paper. It is more powerful than you imagine.
