Opportunity: Help Bring Christmas to Hampstead
The Hampstead Village Business Improvement District (BID) www.hampsteadvillagelondon.com/bid is considering holding a Christmas Festival in Hampstead Village, London NW3 at the end of November.
In previous years a group of volunteers has put together a large-scale Christmas Festival which grew year on year to attract upwards of 50,000 with stalls, fairground, attractions, music etc. This year (2017) a smaller-scale event is envisaged, owing to Council and Police requirements, as well as our own revised capacity as the event will now be overseen and funded by the BID.
We need an experienced event management professional to help us run a smaller event under the overall management of the BID.
Expected attendance 10-20,000. We have our own contacts and considerable local and practical experience but need a professional coordinator. There are high expectations of the event so it must run smoothly and with a keen regard to H&S considerations. It is essential that you have a track record of running similar-sized events in an urban environment and have associated references.
For an initial discussion, please contact email@example.com or contact Caroline Goldsack, Chief Executive, Hampstead Village BID on 07970 939395

Gdpr (general Data Protection Regulations)
Members will have read lots about GDPR over the last few months. It is shortly to become law and you need to make sure you are up to speed. By far the best advice we can offer you is to look at the website www.ico.org.uk look at their section on GDPR 'Twelve Steps to Take Now'. This is taking the words straight from the horse's mouth and there is also a questions and answers section if you get into difficulties. It is not an onerous task, for most of our members it will hardly affect us, but there are some points there that need to be noted.

Everyone and their dog is talking about the new GDPR regulations coming in May this year. But very few people are offering you a concrete solution.
