Saltburn Folk Festival
Saltburn Folk Festival has promoted and celebrated folk and traditional music, dance, song and stories for over 50 years, in a stunning seaside setting in the North East of England.
The festival started life as Redcar Folk Festival before moving a few miles along the coast to Saltburn. The Festival was the idea of John Taylor, also driving force behind the Cutty Wren Folk Club, (founded 1965). In 2018, Ken Hall took the helm of the festival after the passing of John Taylor, creating a festival that was true to its roots and a celebration of all that had come before.
Coming out of the COVID pandemic, a new team is ready to take on responsibility the festival and to continue the long running tradition of folk music in the region. We look forward to gathering together, virtually in 2021, and in person again in 2022.
