Powerful Thinking - Festival Vision: 2025

It's an exciting time for event sustainability and Vision:2025.  Many environmental initiatives and new resources have been launched in the last few months. This email has a round up of the latest.

Plus, Save the Date! After the success of the Vision:2025 members event in 2017 at The Showman's Show, we have teamed up with event organisers, Lance Publications, to offer another afternoon of talks, networking and presentations on a variety of key topics on Wednesday 17th October, 1-5pm. More info to come.

Resources:

AIF Drastic on Plastic campaign

Congratulations to the Vision:2025 festivals that have joined the 60 festival members of the AIF in their Drastic on Plastic Campaign, launched in April, with a pledge to eliminate single-use plastic by 2021. If you haven't yet joined but would like to - find out more HERE.

Plastic-Free Event resources: To help you on the mission to cut out plastics...

  • Download the RAW Foundation Guide to Plastic-Free Festivals HERE
  • Download the Reusable Cup Factsheet, by sustainable event consultants Hope Solutions and ZAP concepts
  • View the G.E.M.S report on glitter at events published on behalf of the Festival Elves Facebook group.

Sustainable Travel: Audience travel makes up 80% of the average festivals' CO2 footprint - so it's a great place to start in reducing overall emissions.

Resource Hub: Because new resources are always emerging and being updated,  we have created a very simple one-stop shop links page to key resources across the industry as part of Festival Vision: 2025 webpage. We will be adding to this in future. Check it out HERE - under the 'Key Resources' tab on the left.
