Alan James

The first time I met Alan I thought he was a bit scary.

Then I discovered how much he really cared about the support, the depth and content of our festival programmes.

He knew people in the right places and never hesitated to share his knowledge and contacts.

He was indeed far from scary; he was a genuine, helpful arts lover who proved his commitment with kind words and thoughtful actions.

Alan made his mark and will be missed.
