Ruskin College - Oxford

Residential Courses

Event Management with Oxford LiederLevel: Residential | Duration: 3 days | Next course: 17th - 19th September 2019

Join Oxford Lieder in residence at Ruskin to build your experience and skills in event management and get an opportunity to run your own event, on this residential course.

What is it about? Oxford Lieder runs a Festival devoted to song for two weeks every October and it is now known as one of the best in the world. You will hear from members of the team, talk to performers and work on various tasks to develop your practical skills.

You will learn about marketing, festival organisation and artistic planning and, after the course, you will be invited to organise and run a concert during the opening day of the Festival. There will also be the opportunity to apply for future Festival Assistant roles.

Who is it for? If you currently volunteer or work in this area and would like to learn more, or are interested in a career in Event Management, this course is for you.
No previous experience is necessary and you don’t need any academic qualifications.

Why choose Ruskin? Ruskin offers the ideal environment to build your confidence and skills, with tranquil surroundings and friendly tutors and students.

What does it cost? You may be eligible for funding for this course (see website for further details). Full cost is £210 (includes lunch and accommodation).
