Showman’s Show - A Year Off
In mid-July, Johnny and Jeremy Lance announced a year off for the Showman’s Show.
Readers will remember I always encourage festival organisers to visit the Showman’s Show, normally in October at Newbury Showground, simply because it is a great place to meet with colleagues, keep an eye out for new products available for festival organisers and get some of your infrastructure booked for next season.
However, once again COVID-19 walks in. The epidemic has put enormous pressure on the supply industry who normally book trade space and sales pitches at Showman’s Show. The supply sector clearly is in no position to start spending money on marketing in a year when most of their work has been wiped out, so Johnny and Jeremy Lance have decided to give the show a year off. It will certainly reappear again in October 2021, probably 20 and 21 October 2021.
Keep an eye on Showman’s website www.showmans-directory.co.uk for information and updates on what they will be doing to help the industry through this difficult year.Events News
