Fleetwood Folk & Blues - SpringSong and FolkFolly 31 March - 1 April 2017
There’s been a lot going on for Fleetwood Folk & Blues, and we’re well on the way with plans for FaB Weekend this September (1st to 3rd). Meanwhile we have other events afoot. Springsong & Folkfolly We are hosting a weekend of ‘SpringSong & FolkFolly’, 31st March and 1st April presenting some artists who will be performing at FaB Weekend this year. Fleetwood Bowling Club will be the venue for a weekend of 3 events over 2 days.
The SpringSong Concert is on Friday Evening with Richard Grainger, Plant & Taylor, fresh from recording their new album, Geronimo’s Cadillac (former members of Ian Gartside Band) and will be headlined by Reg Meuross, one of the most outstanding singer songwriters of our time as part of his Album Launch. Doors opening at 7.30pm, 8pm start. Tickets will be £12 on the door.
Saturday afternoon, Fleetwood Acoustic Room from 1pm until 5pm, Plant & Taylor will be hosting. This is Fleetwood Folk and Blues most recent venture which is successful in providing artists with the opportunity to perform and showcase, and provides an abundance of entertainment to an enthusiastic audience. Admission by donation/raffle.
The FolkFolly Concert, is April Fools’ Day presenting Cartoon Food, Hadrian’s Union and ‘Dai Thomas. All topped off with the cream of the evening, our town’s name sake, Fleetwood Cave, Gregg Cave and Marion Fleetwood are seasoned performers who have performed in headliners such as Tradarr, Gerry Colvin Band and the Jigantics. Doors opening at 7.30pm, 8pm start. Tickets will be £12 on the door.
