Stand Out and Event Site Design Have Launched A New Resource To Post And Apply For Event Jobs

A new resource that enables events professionals to post and apply for event jobs has been launched by Stand Out and Event Site Design

A simple and effective service for events professionals seeking new event-based roles has been launched, thanks to a new partnership between Event Site Design and Stand Out magazine.

Event Jobs, in association with Event Site Design, is a new resource on the Stand Out website that enables event organisers, production companies, events agencies  and suppliers to post jobs for free.

Events professionals looking for a new challenge or role can search the job posts and discover all the info they need in order to apply. What’s more, it is completely free to use

Rupert Bassadone, founder of Event Site Design, explained: “During lockdown, I saw some amazing event professionals on LinkedIn, such as Clare Goodchild and Nathan Telford, taking time out to help others by searching and sharing jobs in the events industry. I thought it was a brilliant idea and I wanted to do something to help. Combining my love of LinkedIn and systems, my team and I created a Google Sheet of jobs. It got more than 30,000 views, and so when Neil Fagg [publisher of Stand Out] approached me to make this idea even better I jumped at the chance.”

Bassadone continued further: “I’m incredibly proud and privileged to be able to support the events industry with this initiative, and I’m just grateful I’m able to do something to help event professionals through this insanely difficult time.”

Fagg concurred: “The last 12 months has been extremely challenging for the events industry. COVID-19 did not stop events professionals from carrying on and we hope that everyone continues to support one another as a new event season looms. Seeing highly motivated people like Rupert and Clare sharing job opportunities was inspiring. In fact, their idea inspired me to evolve the spreadsheet into something more accessible and for all of our readership to benefit, especially those who do not take advantage of the LinkedIn platform.

Fagg continued: "Event Jobs is free to use and organisations such as Walk the Plank, CSM Live, Channel 4, S3K Group, Haymarket, Gofer and Steeldeck have posted vacancies – they are seeking new candidates to apply for new job opportunities. I hope everyone takes full advantage of the new and free-to-use resource.”

Fagg concluded: “Despite everything that has happened in the last year, the events industry is one of a kind and is full of fun, caring and creative people. I urge everyone to share news of Event Jobs so that we can make sure those talented events professionals, who sadly lost their jobs, stay in our industry and that we attract even more talent!”
