The Online Shows Continue... Big Burns Supper
Check out our online events!
As well as our free, online Burns Night event - Eddi Reader's Big Burns Supper - we have four other free, online events running between now and Saturday 29th January!
Tonight, at 6pm, Coinneach MacLeod – also known as the Hebridean Baker – will be taking over our Facebook page for an evening of honing in on your cooking skills. Focussing on small bakes that use simple ingrediants, viewers will also learn some Gaelic and find out more about Scottish heritage.
Thursday 20th January, at 10am, will see a collection of spoken word artists from all across South of Scotland take part in Poetic Brunch. The webinar is a chance for viewers to listen to a collection of work from multiple artists including Hugh McMillan, Stuart Patterson and Annie Wright.
Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners will be joining the team to talk about the history of the group from the struggles that LGBTQ+ people have had to face, and helping the striking miners in the 80’s which eventually led to the film, Pride. The talk will go live at 7pm on Monday 24th January.
Concluding the run of our online events at 10am on Saturday 29th January is How to Save Your Planet One Object at a Time – which will see Dr Tara Shine draw on her experience as a climate adviser and negotiator to share her ideas on how each of us can have a positive impact on society and our planet.
