BVEP Regulation Survey - please respond

As part of the work BVEP is engaged in with the Tourism Alliance and VisitBritain in preparing an Industrial Strategy Sector Deal, some of the submission is likely to include measures to reduce regulatory burdens on businesses.
One of the proposals is to seek to extend Primary Authority across a range of regulations to which tourism and event business are subjected, so that tourism-related businesses across the UK have more certainty on how councils will interpret, administer and enforce both existing and new legislation.
Specifically in the case of events, this could apply to Health & Safety and CDM regulations. We need to gain some idea of what cost and how much time is currently being spent on implementing the current regulations.
A more detailed explanation is provided in the survey below and I would urge you to complete so that we can provide much more evidence within our submission.

Can you please complete the survey by 8th September. It is also intended to build up a few case studies, so if you can to let Kurt Janson of the Tourism Alliance ([email protected]), who is coordinating this exercise, have any particularly good (or bad) examples of costs that they have had to deal with due to councils having different interpretations of the regulations. That would be much appreciated.
Many thanks for your help with this exercise which, along with other regulations dealing with fire safety, licensing and planning being similarly surveyed by other organisations in the tourism sector, could help to reduce costs and improve productivity for business in the sector.
